![]() This is all via game controller flying, BTW. So I took her up again, and low and behold, as soon as I was about 4 feet off the ground, the IRS turned BLUE, so I flipped on the video recorder and kept pushing her higher and up over the roof, to film my solar panels: I tested this a few times, on a few different surfaces, in sun and shade, and got the same basic results each time. At this point I noticed that the IRS turned BLUE when the drone was off the ground, but every time I set it back down on the cold sidewalk it reverted back to ORANGE. I was certainly not "out of normal range, too close, or too far to detect the surface the drone was flying over" I grumbled to myself, as I picked up the Breeze to walk back inside. I checked to see if the lens was foggy from the cold air (it wasn't), and I tried cleaning the lens glass. Here's a video of me trying to get up over the roof of my house without luck:Īfter that flight, I noticed that the IRS sensor idiot light in the App was ORANGE. I don't think there really is an "indoor" mode, is there? My Geo-fence was set to 300 feet, WiFi was locked in, compass calibration not performed yet on this drone due to all the power lines outside my front door (I am sick at home today, and not driving anywhere in this cold). At first I thought maybe the problem was that the GPS was turned off, and this was causing the drone to fly in "indoor" mode - I read that on the Yuneec help message board. So I figured out why my Breeze would not fly above 10 feet, or at least I think I did. I have had 2 good flights with the controller but forget what button is video so normally dont worry with it. Sometimes if mine is in a dark area (i like to fly at sunset) or if its close to metal when i power on and try take off it wont go high at all had huge issue with the snow but finally got it to work well. ![]() But as I understand it, the Compass isn't necessary when flying via Controller.Īre you talking about where your suppose to flip it and turn it and all? I was under the impression you couldn't fly at all until you did that so i got as far from powerlines as i could and did mine. That will have to wait until summer and warmer weather when I bring the Breeze to my flying field. ![]() ![]() I do not have the compass calibrated, because there are a bunch of power lines here. I've tried this three time now and I keep hitting that limit. I got a confirmation with the App that the setting took hold via the Breeze's WiFi connection.īut when I take it outside to fly it, I cannot get it any higher than 10.9, or 11 feet up, at most. In the App I set the Geo-fence altitude to max (328.1 ft). Trying to test my new Breeze with the game controller, fresh battery, everything fully charged. ![]()
